Macon County Environmental Management is seeking customer-service oriented individuals to serve as greeters during recycling events for the collection of items such as electronic devices, TVs, paint or confidential papers. The events are held at 1750 N. 21st St., Decatur, Illinois.
Greeters will assist with site set-up for the day’s event, check-in attendees, ensure applicable payments and direct traffic flow in the unloading zone. Greeters must exemplify customer service and communicate in a friendly, professional manner. Greeters ensure their safety as well as the safety of other workers and event attendees by adhering to safety procedures. The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time in an outdoor environment and lift/carry loads up to twenty pounds.
Shifts are typically four times per month on Tuesdays or Saturdays for five hours. Pay rate is $13/hour. Greeters must be at least 18 years old.
